I have always loved art. It was my favourite subject at school. I loose time when I create.
I pursed a career in Occupational Therapy to satisfy my desire to help people in a functional, meaningful way which demands creativity.
After having my third child, I felt the need to start a new, unknown path and reconnect with my passion of creating art. After learning to weld, my projects went from functional furniture and wood stacks to fit unique spaces to figurative animal busts made from scrap metal and then on to large sheet metal sculptures, many of them hearts.
I thought about picking up a paint brush for years before I actually did it. 20 years after putting it down, I didn’t want to put it back.
My artwork continues to evolve and change in subject matter and style as I grow and change as an artist. I find I work in themes which stem from inspiration around me.
I find commissions especially rewarding with bringing another’s vision to life #saynotowhitewalls
