The Sculpture Commission Process
At Rachel Braybon Art, I believe in creating unique, personalized sculptures that bring your vision to life.
The commission process is designed to ensure your complete satisfaction from concept to installation.
Step 1: Initial Consultation
The journey begins with a conversation. Contact me at chuck.rach@bigpond.com or via socials. I’m keen to hear your ideas, answer your questions, and discuss the possibilities for your custom sculpture.
Step 2: Conceptualisation
Once I understand your vision, I work closely with you to develop the concept, considering every detail – size, material, style, and location – to ensure your vision takes shape flawlessly.
Step 3: Design and Approval
Based on our discussions, detailed designs or sketches are created of your sculpture. These are presented to you for review and approval. This stage allows you to fine-tune the sculpture’s aesthetics and ensure it aligns with your vision.
Step 4: Proposal
After design approval, a comprehensive proposal is provided including timeline, materials, and costs.
Step 5: Secure the build
Once the proposal is agreed upon, a 30% non refundable deposit is required to secure the build. The remaining 70% is required prior to delivery.
Step 6: Sculpting
With the paid deposit, the build begins to bring the design to life. I will keep you updated throughout this process with regular progress reports and images.
Step 7: Client Review
At key stages of the sculpting process, you will be invited to review the work in progress. This ensures the sculpture is developing according to your expectations and allows for any necessary adjustments.
Step 8: Final Approval
Before delivery, you will be invited for a final review of the completed sculpture. This is your opportunity to see your vision fully realised and provide any last thoughts. The outstanding 70% of the fee is required at this stage.
Step 9: Delivery and Installation
Everything is taken care of in this final stage, from securely packaging your sculpture to overseeing its installation. We ensure it fits seamlessly into its intended space, whether that’s a public plaza, corporate lobby, or private garden.
Step 10: Follow-up
My commitment doesn’t end with installation, I follow up to ensure your complete satisfaction and provide guidance on care and maintenance of your new sculpture.
